Anidroc founder Mario Cordina has just directed a short film entitled 'Delfina' which will be participating in many film festivals around the globe. Written by Chris Zarb and Mario Cordina, the film is about a day in the life of a teenage girl, suffering from phonophobia and trapped in a dysfunctional family. Driven by the impulsive waves of coincidence, the ripples of unintended consequences lead to an irreversible climax. Starring upcoming Maltese local star Geordie Schembri, the film meanders through the uneasy relationship of an adolescent with her mother Valerie (Rowena Gauci Davidson) and her new partner Robert (Daniel Attard Portughes). Not a film to be missed.
Under the monitoring of well known internationally acclaimed directors Luca Bellino ,Silvia Luzi, and DOP Olaf Hirschberg this film project was financed and produced by The University Of Malta as part of the MA course in Film Studies. Anidroc Productions has released its new video 'Pools of Water' from its SkAndRock LP 2018 last month May 2018. The Video features Anidroc's footage from gigs, t.v. shows and interviews together with bands that featured Mario Anidroc like Skambomambo, Ambulanza, Vinyl Mob and Lejla Maltija. The music is by Anidroc and recorded at Anidroc Studios. An A.M.P. production in collaboration with Anidroc Film it is a rockfish, punkish twist on the Anidroc repertoire.
Anidroc released 'Thank You', a video for the track off their latest album SkAnidroC Lp (2017) on St.Valentine's day 2018. The track is a reggae, ska classic style tune recorded at Anidroc Studios. Following the release of the title track 'Ska And Rock' and 'So Far', 'Thank You' is the third video to be released. This is another A.M.P. production in collaboration with Anidroc film. The Video features Anidroc's Berry and turns this song of thanks into a love song. 'Originally the song was about showing gratitude to all those who crossed my path in life and without whom I would not be the man I am," Mario Anidroc comments. "However, how could I not be thankful to my darling Berry?" So the idea caught on. Footage was hunted down and presented as a surprise, inspiring the idea of giving it a film reel look and the release date set for ST. Valentines.
The Lyrics are by Mario Anidroc.
Thank You.
I have found, no better way to, Say thank you. For another lovely day. I have found no better words to thank you. For another great day to thank you. No better way, no better way, To say 'Thank You.'
The Video can be found on YouTube and other media platforms and right here below.
